Ink Bloom is Jim’s fourth book with Impact Books. He wrote Hell Beasts, and co-wrote Wreaking Havoc: How to Create Fantasy Warriors and Wicked Weapons and How to Draw Blood-Sucking Monsters and Vampires. Ink Bloom marks his debut as a fiction writer.

As a freelance illustrator Jim has worked on projects including Star Wars, World of Warcraft, Magic The Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons and contributes regularly to Imagine FX magazine. Jim lives in Chicago, and his hair is turning gray at an alarming rate.

Ink Bloom is Chris’ third book with Impact Books. Chris began his career illustrating card art for the Harry Potter Collectible Card Game. He has since worked on some of the top Role Playing and Collectible Card Games in the industry. His work has appeared in and on the covers of Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition, Dragon Magazine, Dungeon Magazine, TOMB the board game and World of Warcraft. His work has also appeared in Imagine FX Magazine.

Chris’ work was awarded “Best in Show” at the 2009 Gen Con art show, the largest gathering for fantasy and science fiction gaming in the United States.
